Dear Jane Bolster,
After a long couple of months in your English Composition class, my theory of writing has been opened to many different possibilities. My theory of writing could be explained as endless opportunities to express your feelings about certain things in a wide spread of different genres. Before entering this class, I was very unjust when it came to writing anything that wasn’t about sports. What I mean by this is that I did everything in my power to avoid a writing assignment. Each piece of writing I completed this semester showed me a different type of writing I could use. Learning how different genres and focus points help maintain your audience’s focus was a big motivator when it came to learning how to write organized. Something that has definitely contributed to my theory of writing is understanding your audience and their interests rather than my own. Due to this, my writing capabilities have grown exponentially. I can now apply my theory of writing and everything else I’ve learned in future classes and hopefully in a career in the future.
Thank you for your help, Christopher Iovino
